Chapter 2: The Rise of Franklin

As the season begun Franklin was going off. The first game Richmond High played their rivals Dixon High Game Cocks. It was brutal start for Franklin as he went 0-6 from the field in the first half. At the beginning of the second half Franklin was fuego. By the end of the 3^rd quarter he had 15 points, but his team was still down by 10. The middle of the 4^th quarter Franklin was still on fire as he brought his team within 3 points. The clock was winding down and Franklin had the ball in his hands. 3…..2…..1 the buzzer goes off and Franklin missed the shot he was devastated. After the game Lamar came up to Franklin and said nice game. Franklin and Lamar are still distant because off their fight. Franklin in the next 10 games was going off. He was averaging 25 points, 10 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 4.5 steals, and 5 assist. Franklin was becoming a superstar freshmen. Every team in the state of Massachusetts knew who he was and they were all scared. He became the jock every person wanted to be around. Franklin had all of the girls in Richmond all over him. Franklin was soon too popular to even talk to Lamar. Franklin acted like a big shot. He was jerk to the kids he used to be friends with. Franklin became one of those jocks were he had nerd kids do his homework, and having the teachers passing him on every test. Franklin was a person people looked up too but, the way he was treating people he became the stinking dumb jock. A lot of people ignored the fact he was being mean because he turned the basketball team from nothing to something.

Chapter 1: The Day That Best friends Fight

It was just a normal day for Lamar. He is 5 foot 10 and weighs probably 140 pounds. Lamar had brown hair with hazel eyes. He didn't look like an athletic kid. Lamar was more towards getting high grades. Lamar and his best friend named Franklin both have played basketball together since they were in kindergarten. Believe it or not Lamar used to be better than Franklin, but as basketball season came Franklin was 6 foot 6. He had black hair with brown eyes. Lamar didn't know that Franklin has been practicing basketball the whole time since Lamar has been playing football.  When Lamar tried out he was so nervous that he couldn't make a layup and his passing was horrible. He was cut from the team. Not just from Varsity he was cut from both teams. Lamar went to a big school called Richmond High. The average amount of students is about 700. Lamar knows that there is a lot of kids in his school, but he felt like he should give up on basketball because he doesn't think he is good enough. Lamar’s mood changed, he didn't want to go to school, he never did his homework, and worst of all he took out his frustration on Franklin. Lamar treated Franklin like a pile of dog shit. Franklin and Lamar’s friend ship went down the toilet. As basketball season started the two of them acted like they didn't even know who each other were.
