It’s been an amazing year for the Kentucky Wildcats as they’re still unbeaten with a record of 37-0. The team is going for history since there has never been a team to go undefeated through the whole season. If they win the National Championship Kentucky will finish the season with a record of 40-0. That would be the first NCAA Men’s Basketball team to go 40-0. The recent game the Wildcats had was up against West Virginia. The game turned out to be a barnburner as the Kentucky Wildcats obliterates West Virginia, 79 to 38. This games was just ugly for West Virginia as they shot 24.1 % from the field which is the worst shot percentage in the NCAA Tournament game in the last 50 seasons. Kentucky’s frontcourt was just too good for West Virginia as Mountaineers only made 6 shots in the paint while the Wildcats blocked them 7 times in the paint. The Mountaineers tied for the fewest amount of paint points for the 2015 NCAA Tournament. The two frontcourt players that made the paint their house was Willie Cauley-Stein and he had 3 blocks while the other player was Trey Lyles who happened to be the leading scorer with 14 points. The other leading scorers were the two Harrison bothers as Andrew had 13 and Aaron had 12. As this season continues for the Kentucky Wildcats they have the pressure to stay undefeated. The Wildcats understand this pressures as they play every game likes it’s their last and they never go easy on an opponent as they showed when the defeated the Mountaineers by 39 points. The Wildcats now move on to the Elite 8 as they will compete against the Fighting Irish aka the Notre Dame.
